Experience Michelle’s individualised method of mind-body work, combined with homeopathic health care and therapeutic support
What to expect in a consultation
Homeopathy
It is my aim in practice to find the homeopathic medicine that most closely matches your symptoms on all levels. This is when we get the most profound healing with homeopathy. To get the best match, it takes more time than a typical medical consultation. Questions may at first seem unrelated to your presenting complaint, but are part of the holistic homeopathic case taking process that help to tailor the treatment to each person.
The initial consult for a chronic health problem is 2 hours. This gives you time to comfortably express what is going on, and time for Michelle to understand what might be causing or contributing to the problem. Michelle will ask about: your symptoms and how they affect your quality of life; your medical and family health history; your sleep, food preferences, and anything else that affects your general wellbeing. Changes in mood or mental health are also considered, as the mind, emotions and physical health are inter-connected.
Michelle likes the expression ‘dis-ease’ instead of ‘disease’ when referring to alterations in health. It is less pathologising and encompasses alterations in health when there are no diagnosable conditions, yet people feel far from well.
As we journey together, tracing the origins of the ‘dis-ease’ and connections with physical, mental and emotional patterns, people gain insight about themselves, which can be deeply therapeutic.
Follow ups are 2 – 4 weekly initially, and take up to 1 hour. Regular follow ups are important to monitor treatment and adjust remedies and dosage. People who follow up regularly are more likely to get the best outcome in their treatment.
Acute consults refer to consultations for minor ailments such as coughs, colds, flu, stomach bugs etc. These are 30 minutes and can be over the phone for regular clients.
Michelle allocates phone-in time for you to ask questions about your treatment if needed.
Mental Health
Mental health consultations are 1 hour, with follow ups every 1 – 2 weeks initially, then as needed.
During the first session, Michelle will ask: what brings you to see her; how that is affecting you; aspects of your life that contribute; and what you would like to get out of sessions. From there, consultations unfold according to your individual needs, in a holistic way.
Michelle’s approach is flexible and tailored to each person. She utilises a range of approaches from over thirty years’ experience in mental health nursing to support people’s emotional wellbeing. Her skills range from counselling and psychotherapy to practical strategies to help people understand the cause of their distress and how to cope with difficult emotions.
Michelle is a good listener and considers her key role as facilitator in helping people come to their own conclusions about what they need to recover. The journey to discover your own solutions generates insight and is empowering.
For people with chronic and lifelong mental illness, Michelle provides a range of services similar to a community mental health nurse, only more flexible and holistic. These services include:
- Mental health triage and assessment
- Therapeutic support for people with a medically managed illness
- Care coordination
- Relapse prevention
- Supporting young people and adults in crisis
- Strengths-based interventions
- Integrated healthcare and collaboration with your treatment team
MENTAL HEALTH referrals & Rebates
Referral pathways – mental health
You don’t need a referral to see Michelle. However, if you have a low income and need financial assistance, there are two referral pathways for mental health clients:
- Wentworth Healthcare (Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network – NBM PHN). These plans are preferable for people who cannot afford gap payments. If you have a Centrelink Healthcare card, there are a range of plans available to you, that are paid in full by the health service. For people without a Centrelink Healthcare card, there are a few mental healthcare plans available that are paid in full by the health service. For a referral under this program, please see your GP.
- Medicare, under the GP Management Plan (item 721 or review item 732) and Team Care Arrangements (item 723 or review item 732). Under the GP mental healthcare plans, you are required to pay for the consult in full, after which you will receive a Medicare rebate. These plans allows for up to 5 consultations per year. For a referral under this program, please see your GP.
You can book an appointment to see Michelle by calling her directly or by booking online via the ‘book now’ button on the top right corner of this website.
REBATES
Medicare rebates are available for people on GP Chronic Disease Management plan (GPMP) and Team Care Arrangements (TCA).
Wentworth Healthcare mental health plans cover the cost of consultations for people who are referred by their GP.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provision is available for people who are on self-managed or agency-managed plans.
Cost, payment & rebates
Clients who engage in their treatment and attend regular follow-ups experience the most significant benefit from homeopathy and mental healthcare. Treatment can then evolve as we connect with the underlying mind-body cause of what is wrong, work through layers of dis-ease and restore dynamic health.

Homeopathy Follow ups: $175 + GST
